By far, my favourite Norwex product is the odour eliminator. As you
know, a month ago my dog was sprayed by a skunk. I rushed the dog into the
house immediately after it happened. As you can imagine, my house
stunk!!! I frantically called my friendly neighbourhood Norwex consultant
for help! Jill brought over some stewed tomatoes (for washing the dog) and
some of of her Norwex Odour Eliminator. We sprayed the house and to my
disbelief, the smell was virtually gone within a few hours. I am a
believer in the Norwex Odour Eliminator! If it can take care of skunk
spray, it can handle just about anything!

Here are a few other comments about favourite Norwex products:

There are many products which I like, but I guess my favourite one is the
Kitchen dish cloth. You can clean up spills on the floor, your
countertops, applicances, sinks, etc. It is so silky smooth. Just
dampen it and it works it's magic. The sinks, stainless steel appliances,
and the taps come out sparkling clean, without polishing them with a dry
cloth. It dries very quickly and it kills bacteria while it works.
I am
very impressed with all the Norwex products that I have purchased.

I can honestly say I only have one product which is the silver pad for cleaning stove tops. I have used this a number of times since I received it a week ago and I am really pleased with it. I have other products on order but have not received them as of yet. I have only heard good things about Norwex and am anxious to host my party in February.

My favourite Norwex product. It's hard to chose one. I like the dusting mitt. It makes dusting fun. You just walk through the house and dust as you go along. My son even asked me if he could play the game. I was puzzled at first thinking what game. "You know", he said, "the mitt game". I realized then he wanted to dust and said sure go ahead!

Product in Practice - EnviroCloth

So today I experienced the great cleaning power of the EnviroCloth! I had a can of Coke sitting on the floor (I know, not a wise idea!) Nathan came over and accidentally knocked over the can on our light beige carpet..yikes!!! Normally I would grab the paper towel and soak up as much as I could. Then grab a carpet cleaner and scrub out the stain. But instead, I grabbed an EnviroCloth. The cloth absorbed all of the Coke - and I can't even see the spot on the carpet!! This is one of those times I wished I had taken a picture!!

What is in our body care products?

Since joining Norwex, I have become more aware of the chemicals that go unnoticed in our lives. One of these areas that was most informative for me was the area of personal care products.

In doing some research on-line, I came across the Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database . You can search this database for the personal care products you currently use (shampoo, lotions, toothpaste etc) and it rates the ingredients on a scale of 0-10 (0 being not hazardous to your health and 10 being extremely hazardous). But not only that, you can then find products that rate better than your current products. Another way to search is by ingredient.

If you don't have time to look up your products, then here is a list of some of the common chemicals to avoid:

Mineral oil and silicon
Synthetic emulsifiers like PEG (polyethylene glycol)
Viscosity controlling agents like Carbomer
Preservatives such as formaldehyde releasers, parabens, or phenoxyethanol
Synthetic perfumes
Synthetic dyes; and
Synthetic solvents like propylene glycol.

The skin is the body's largest organ, so it is important for us to be aware of what we are putting on it!! Feel free to ask me about Organic Skin Care options from Norwex!
